Roadmap
According to the Roadmap for Oath of Peak, the next step for the game is to launch tokens, which is expected to happen in Q2 or Q3 of 2023. It is likely that the token that will be released at this time is the $OOP token. However, it is worth noting that the project is still new and players who start now will be considered early adopters.It’s also possible that the development team may launch the game for the PC platform in the future, although it’s not mentioned in their roadmap. Currently, PC players can only play the game through an emulator such as BlueStacks, which may not provide the optimal gaming experience.
Conclusion
Oath of Peak appears to be a fairly typical MMORPG similar to many others. Based on the footage, it appears to be above average when compared to other games in the genre. It reminds me of other projects such as Ninokuni or to a lesser extent MIR4, which may appeal to fans of the genre. That being said, it might be fair to call it a poor man’s Genshin Impact.
However, I am a bit skeptical about the game’s tokenomics. The development team claims to have innovative tokenomics and that the tokens will not suffer the same fate as in other web3 games. But, a free-to-play game where everyone can earn tokens and extract value from the ecosystem has failed multiple times in the past. It remains to be seen how this will play out for Oath of Peak.
Playing and stacking tokens early in games like Oath of Peak can be a significant advantage for players. The game’s tokenomics is designed to reward early adopters, and players who begin their adventure early will be able to take advantage of this.
